About A Texas Farmer

A Texas Farmer. A moniker. A hidden identity. A sober man pretending to be drunk to avoid the authorities.

In times of political polarization and persecution, it’s hazardous to share one’s views, or even ask genuine questions without fear of reprisal. During America’s Founding, the Federalists and Anti-Federalists, favoring and opposing the newly sketched U.S. Constitution, anonymously published their views on the document’s virtues and vices. In doing so, they debated not only specifics; they reflected on the purpose of government, how best to preserve liberty, and the dangers endemic to human nature.

In this spirit, I offer commentary and analysis on political and cultural debates and issues of our day. My aim is to highlight root causes and clarify fundamental problems hidden by the deafening noise of the news cycle.

Many of our traditional cultural institutions are changing. In the world of journalism. In the world of academia. I will always strive to provide readers with evidence, arguments, and insights, along with resources to further explore issues.

While solutions are elusive, knowledge is attainable. Educating ourselves on better and worse paths is possible. It’s our only way forward.
